Don't Look Back by Jenifer L. Armentrout

Book Review

Must Read!

This book is definitely one of the best books I've read. Its my first time reading something written by J.L. Armentrout, she really had me turning from page to page. I'm not usually a mystery reader so this book surprised me because it captured my attention and kept me inside the story.

I enjoyed reading Don't Look Back because I felt really connected to the characters and their feelings even though I haven't been through similar situations in my personal life. The emotions every character had and the conflicts they dealt with inside seemed real.

Character Breakdown:
Samantha is the main character and someone that I am happy for. Before when she remembers everything about her life, she was the typical mean and rich girl and has a group of similar friends. The group was the biggest bullies in school and everyone was scared of her specifically. After the accident, I'm glad to see that she has turned into someone that is kind and caring, no longer selective of what she wants and had, and treats everyone with respect. It's inspiring to those that wants to change and become better because it's never too late.

Del on the other hand, is the ex-boyfriend of Samantha, they've been dating since the beginning of high school. As much as I envy the length and time their relationship has gone through, I am angry to learn that their relationship was formed on the basis of benefits from both of their families. As well, Del's character annoys me big time because of his way of thinking and the things he's done in the book. I still don't understand why Samantha's mom would let him into the house. But I'm happy that at least her brother knows what's actually going on.

Carson is a nice and supportive guy throughout the story and is always there for Samantha. I was touched to know that Samantha has liked him since Kindergarten, he also has feelings for her, and she has once again fall for him too. He was very patient with Samantha and still treated her kindly, even when before Samantha probably wasn't nice to him at all. They are honestly so cute!

Overall, this book is very awesome and I suggest everyone to give it a try. It's seriously wonderful, don't miss out!
