This book describes the story of a girl who went on a journey to Start Again.
This book is a worth while read because like many of us there are times where we wish and we want to start all over again. When something that is unchangeable happen to us and we have left scars or fears behind.
The story written by Emery Lord shows readers exactly how Paige overcame what an incident of her boyfriend has left her, and the steps she took to become a new self and improve her life.
This book is one of my personal favorites because for many times in life, I've been wanting to start again just like Paige. Although my circumstances are not as serious as hers, I did want to do it for the sake of a better lifestyle. However, no one I knew has gone through the experience and had no success stories. When I finished reading the first chapter, especially the last page, I knew that this book was going to be amazing. I wasn't wrong, this book is just what I needed, it really connected with me and showed me that starting over is not as hard as it seems, and its possible.
Paige: Very nerdy, kind, and caring girl. She was known in her small town as "the Girl Whose Boyfriend Died" and "Grammar Girl". For years, she's been living in sadness because of the death of her boyfriend Aaron. Until she met Ryan Chase, a guy that helped her see the positives of her life and whom she developed a crush on. After talking with her own wonderful grandmother...
She decided to make a list:
1.Parties/Social Events
2. New Group
3. Date
4.Travel
5.Swim
I would totally agree with #1,3, and 5! They are exactly what I wanted as well.
Throughout the book she crosses off the items one by one, and also realizes that there is way more memories she gained besides what's on her list. In addition to what Paige enjoyed, she also changed up her list a bit, which caused a problem in the book. 3. Date (RC). Getting to know Ryan's cousin Max was her plan to get close to Ryan. But the plan turned backwards...
Ryan: Ryan is the guy every girl wants to date. He is the cousin of Max in the story, and had just broken up with the love of his life Lauren. Being unaware of Paige's feelings, he fall for someone similar to Lauren, Paige's best friend Tessa. Tessa's reaction won't be the same as Lauren...
Max: Ryan's cousin, a close friend of Paige. Had developed feelings for Paige on the first day of English class. He was her listener for problems, they had shared many secrets (excerpt for her crush on Ryan) and had connected like no one did before. He even helped her overcome one ( or two ;) ) of the things on her list. Until a friendship argument started and facing them being apart for summer. Will they solve the misunderstanding or will they leave each other with words unsaid?
I know I have left a few questions and unsaid details. This book is too good and I don't want to spoil all the details for readers enjoyment. I love, love, love this book and I hope you will too. Please give this book a try!
Happy Reading! :)
